Carbon Ceramic Technology
Brembo SGL Carbon Ceramic Brakes is the world leading producer of carbon ceramic brake discs. The product portfolio currently includes 3 types of carbon-ceramic discs:
• Carbon Ceramic Brakes – CCB
Produced in Meitingen plant
CCB is a disc made up by a core of ceramic material, reinforced with carbon fiber and covered by an additional ceramic friction layer on both breaking surfaces.
Customer Applications:
Porsche, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti, AMG, BMW-M, Aston Martin, Toyota
• Ceramic Composite Material – CCM
Produced in our plant in Stezzano
CCM disc is a floating disc made up by a core of ceramic material, reinforced with carbon fiber. In comparison to CCB, CCM disc braking surfaces are not covered by an additional ceramic friction layer.
Customer Applications:
Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Corvette, Nissan, Chevrolet, Mc Laren, GM, Pagani, Honda/Acura, Jaguar Land Rover.
• Ceramic Ceramic Wafer – DYATOM™
Produced in cooperation of the Meitingen and Stezzano plants
This high-performance brake disc offers the perfect solution for the highest demands. Thanks to their five-layer structure, DYATOM™ brake discs deliver extremely high thermal performance combined with outstanding wear resistance, even with intensive use on the racetrack. This subsequently also benefits the performance of the brake pads, thanks to the lower operating temperature. Overall, the brake system therefore develops a higher braking power with the same disc dimensions.
Customer Applications:
AMG, Ford
